Hello! I’m a PhD student in the research group of Guy Baele at KU Leuven in Belgium. I’m interested in optimizing and streamlining (generally Bayesian) phylogenetic tools so that they can be used in a time-frame that is actionable for public health providers. Most recently, I have been helping with the Belgian SARS-CoV-2 response through regular phylogenetic inference on variants of concern within Belgium.
Before this, I was a member of the Nextstrain team in Trevor Bedford’s group for three years where I primarily worked on seasonal influenza, zika, and database-side (fauna/sacra) development.
