i am trying to create my nextstrain environment, but i don’t know the difference between newest version and old versions. when i follow the newest course on the web to create the environment, my process always be killed. However, when i use the oldest file “nextstrain.yml”, i can create the environment successfully.
Hi @Elena, we have stopped updating the nextstrain.yml environment file in favor of the new Conda packages for Nextstrain’s tools.
If you already have Miniconda installed but the latest installation instructions don’t work, you could try installing Nextstrain with Mamba. Mamba is a faster and more accurate version of the Conda dependency solver.
Let us know if this doesn’t work, though, and we can help troubleshoot further.
